Handmade sourdough
Bakery in Ayr: Baked for
Health & Community
At Knead Bakery, we make real sourdough bread using traditional fermentation methods and carefully sourced ingredients, because food should support your health and your local community.
Every loaf you buy helps support creative projects, artisan skills training, apprenticeships, local employment, workshops and community spaces at Narture.
Good Bread Shouldn't Be Hard to Find.
So much modern bread is rushed, ultra-processed and hard to digest. We believe real bread should be simple, nourishing and made with care, the way it has been for generations.
That’s why we slow things down.
Our sourdough is a 72 hour process – naturally fermented over time, helping to improve digestibility, flavour and texture, without additives, shortcuts or compromises.
What makes our bread Different
Real Ingredients, Real Fermintation, Real Care
- 72 hour long fermentation for gut health
- Carefully selected local organic flours
- Small-batch baking for consistency and quality
- No unnecessary additives or processing
- Freshly baked daily in Ayr
We believe that food is part of your wellbeing and that what you eat every day should help you feel better, not worse.
